I am pleased to announce that Ithaca College is working cooperatively with the Cayuga Medical Center, Borg-Warner Automotive, and other local employers to sponsor the Women's HeartAdvantage Forum.
The forum will be held September 16 from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Holiday Inn in Ithaca (222 S. Cayuga St.). The event is free and open to the public. As we get closer to the event, I will provide you with additional details including information on topics for panel discussions, lectures, exhibits, health screenings, and interactive demonstrations. There promises to be something for everyone.
This event is designed to increase awareness of heart disease, to assist people in recognizing symptoms, and, most importantly, to reduce people's risk. Heart disease is the number one health risk for women over 40 years old.
