With the possiblity of thunderstorms this evening, the Tuesday public night at Clinton Ford Observatory will probably have to be cancelled. However, we are adding an additional night on Thursday to compensate.

Because Mars rises so late, public nights will take place from 10:00 p.m. to midnight. You can catch the shuttle bus at the flagpole in front of Textor. So far, the weather looks terrible for Tuesday, good for Wednesday night, and marginal for Thursday. But remember, this is Ithaca, so check the weather and stay tuned.

Any cancellation decision won't be made until about 7:30 p.m. on the night in question. For the latest plans, check the observatory's news site after that time or call 274-3012 for a recorded message.
