Professor of music performance Lee Goodhew will present a free bassoon recital at Ithaca College on Tuesday, September 30. The concert will start at 8:15 p.m. in the Hockett Family Recital Hall in the Whalen Center. Pianists Diane Birr and Charis Dimaras will collaborate.

Soprano Deborah Montgomery-Cove will join Goodhew for works of Emmanuel Chabrier and Jules Massenet. Also on the program will be music of Robert Paterson, Camille Saint-Saëns, and Paul Chihara. In addition, bassoonists Rebecca Jemian, Peter Rothbart, and Erik Kibelsbeck will collaborate with Goodhew for a bassoon quartet by Michel Corrette.

Goodhew performs with the Ithaca Wind Quintet and the Cayuga Chamber Orchestra and has appeared with the Syracuse Symphony, Dallas Symphony Orchestra, Dallas Ballet, Dallas Civic Opera, University of North Texas faculty woodwind quintet, Kansas City Chamber Orchestra, Fort Worth Symphony and Chamber Orchestra, South Bend Symphony, and Kalamazoo Symphony.

She was formerly on the faculty of Western Michigan University, the University of Texas at Arlington, and the University of North Texas. She earned a doctorate from Michigan State University, a master's degree from Southern Methodist University, and a bachelor's degree at the University of North Texas.
