Each year the Department of Speech Communication sponsors an oratorical contest that is open to all students on campus. This year's topic is Television and Ethics.

We invite all interested students to develop a 7-10 minute persuasive speech on the topic and deliver the speech to two judges during the final week of October. Three winners will be selected to present their speeches at a public forum on November 6. At that time, a panel of judges well-schooled in the principles of classcial oratory will select a winner of the $500 cash prize.

For information contact Jodi Cohen in the Department of Speech Communication, 274-3025, or stop by 415 Muller Facuty Center.
