Ithaca College's seventh annual Etiquette Dinner is rapidly approaching. Cosponsored by the American Marketing Association, Sigma Iota Epsilon, and Career Services, this event provides students with information about proper etiquette and attire when on an interview or at a business meeting where a meal is involved.

Issues addressed include what to wear, what to order, what the different utensils are for, appropriate topics of conversation, and everything in between. Students will receive instruction and information from several keynote speakers. Additionally, recruiters attending the Career Days job and internship fair, which is held on the day of the Etiquette Dinner, are invited as special guests to dine with students. These individuals will provide their professional input and advice regarding appropriate etiquette, as well as converse with students about the journey into the real world.

The dinner will be held on Tuesday, October 28, at 6:00 p.m. in Emerson Suites. Tickets will be on sale for $10 at the following times and locations:

  • North Foyer, Campus Center (by Emerson Suites): Monday-Friday, October 20-24, 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.
  • Smiddy Hall Lobby: Monday-Wednesday, October 20-23, 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
The organizers believe that the Etiquette Dinner is relevant to all Ithaca College students, regardless of their major or career aspirations, and would appreciate the assistance of faculty and staff in encouraging students to attend.
