Forget polling the audience; how about polling your students! Attend the faculty colloquium by Michael Rogers, physics, on Thursday, November 13, 12:10-1:00 p.m. in the Klingenstein Lounge, Campus Center.

Ever wonder what your students are thinking while they sit in your classroom? Want to know if they understand a topic? Using flashcards or personal transmitters along with the peer instruction method of teaching will give you a better idea of what your students are thinking. By knowing what they are thinking you can spend precious classroom time focusing on the topics they are struggling with instead of covering material they already understand.

Read this colloquium description carefully because this colloquium will start with a reading quiz, just like every one of Professor Rogers' class periods.
