The Great American Smoke Out encourages millions of people each year to quit smoking for a day -- or longer!
This year the Smoke Out is on November 20. Planning to quit for the day is part of the process, and increases the likelihood of success at quitting for good.
For more information visit the Great American Smoke Out table in the North Foyer on Wednesday, November 12, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and Tuesday, November 18 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (students from exercise and sports sciences will test pulmonary function with a spirometer and will provide "adopt a smoker" contracts and "quit kits") or stop at the health promotion table at the Benefits Fair on November 13.
