Chris Eyre, renowned Cheyenne/Arapaho filmmaker and director (Smoke Signals, Skimwalkers, The Business of Fancydancing) will discuss and present Skins, starring Graham Greene and Eric Schweig, on Tuesday, November 18, at 7:00 p.m. in Textor 102.

Premiering with a splash at the 2002 Sundance Film Festival, Skins chronicles the hardships of life on the Oglala Sioux Indian Reservation at the site of the Wounded Knee massacre in South Dakota. The film, based on the novel by Adrian C. Louis, is a powerful drama laced with acerbic humor that captures the realities of Pine Ridge life with affection and wit while breaking down stereotypes about Native Americans.

It is presented by the IC In/Visible Histories Project. For more information, contact Brooke Olson, 274-1735.
