Ithaca College

Bruce Henderson, professor of speech communication, recently received the distinguished service award from the performance studies division of the National Communication Association.

The award is the only "lifetime" achievement award given by the division and acknowledges Henderson's two decades of work within the organization. Henderson is former chair of the Department of Speech Communication and currently on sabbatical in the Program in Disability Studies at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where he holds a University Fellowship.
