King once said, "Everybody can be great, because everybody can serve." On January 16, you can serve by working with a group of 7-8 students at over 10 community agencies doing a variety of hands-on projects. Sign up to do a half day (9 a.m. to noon or noon to 3 p.m.) or a full day (9 a.m. to 3 p.m.) of service. Sites include Ithaca Neighborhood Housing, Mental Health Association, YMCA, Caroline Elementary School, Alterra, Significant Elements, Challenge Industries, and more! Breakfast and lunch is included for all participants. Please consider taking part in this service project in honor of Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. and his dedication to serving your local community. To sign up or for more information, e-mail Deb Mohlenhoff or visit the MLK-Polar Plunge website. Contributed by Deborah Mohlenhoff |
