Brian Martinson has accepted the position of Executive Assistant to the Vice President in the Division of Finance and Administration.
Brian, the current assistant director of Employment and Employee Relations in the Office of Human Resources, will begin assuming his new responsibilities immediately and phase out of Human Resources over the next three months. Marian Brown, who is currently serving as special assistant to the vice president on a temporary basis, will continue in that capacity through March 31 to assist in the transition.
The executive assistant to the vice president for Finance and Administration position was created as part of the restructuring of the former Division of Business and Administrative Affairs and the Treasurer’s Office into one vice presidency. Brian will assist Vice President Carl Sgrecci on special projects, the College’s investments, and day-to-day administration of the division. He brings to the position substantial finance and administrative experience including a number of years working in Egypt, where he received his MBA.
