Next at the Physics Café: Elephant Underground Communication

Join IC physics professor Bruce Thompson as he discusses the Elephant Seismic Project at the next presentation of the Physics Café, 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 10, in the Emerson Suites.

We know that when elephants walk, the earth moves. But did you know that it also moves when elephants trumpet? Could all that ground shaking actually have a purpose?

Free and open to the public, this session invites you to come and enjoy some coffee and cookies and explore ideas about our physical universe!
