The staff trustee position, currently held by Arlene Dende, administrative assistant in Mathematics and Computer Science, is up for re-election. Arlene will be at the February 19, 2004, Staff Council Meeting being held in the North Meeting Room of the Campus Center from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Arlene will provide a brief overview and answer questions regarding the staff trustee position. This is a three-year commitment and the selected candidate would be required to attend three meetings per year. This is a wonderful opportunity for any staff member in grades 1-16 who would like to act on behalf of the entire institution in working with the Ithaca College Board of Trustees.
If you are interested in applying for this position, you must submit a letter of intent and resume to Colleen Barnes, Office of Residential Life, 2001 East Tower Lobby, by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 19, 2004.
The Staff Council Trustee Committee will review all applications, then select and forward three recommendations to the board. The IC Board of Trustee Trusteeship Committee will interview those three candidates either the afternoon of May 13 or the morning of May 14. Once the final candidate has been chosen, that individual will participate in this year’s Commencement ceremony with the other IC Board of Trustee members.
