Hand on the Pulse, a film on cofounder of the Lesbian Herstory Archives Joan Nestle, will be shown on Monday, March 1, at 7:00 p.m. in Textor 103. Part of the yearlong series, "Out of the Closet and onto the Screen: Intersections of Sexuality and Culture in Film," the film on Nestle is being shown in March to celebrate Women's History Month.

Now in her 60s, Nestle has a long history as an activist, having protested against the House Un-American Activities Committee, Vietnam War, nuclear war, segregation, apartheid, and United States involvement in Central America. She has also demonstrated for women's rights.

This event is sponsored by the Office of Multicultural Affairs Center for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) Education, Outreach, and Services.
