Mark Cordano and David Saiia, assistant professors in business administration, will lead a discussion on "An Overview of Current Research in Organizations and the Natural Environment" on Thursday, April 1, 12:10-1:00 p.m. in Clark Lounge.
This is the third in a series of forums or "Sustainability Cafés" designed to stimulate a campus dialogue about environmental, social, and economic sustainability, assisted by a grant from the H&S Ithaca Fund.
This session will introduce participants to the research streams that have developed over the past decade as management researchers have increasingly examined how primarily business organizations have attempted to "green themselves," then strove for clean production, and are now attempting to establish the means to achieve sustainability.
Cordano and Saiia will conclude the session by outlining how the discourse on sustainability has developed and continues to generate fierce debate about its purpose and meaning. This discussion is also part of the Faculty Development Colloquium series.
