Seven alumni were elected as new members to the Alumni Association Board of Directors. Their three-year terms begin in June.

  • Jock Bethune '66 returns after serving 12 years previously, including three years as president. Jock has been active as class chair in 1996 and 2001, as an alumni admission volunteer and a career network contact.
  • William Durant '86 is an alumni admissions representative, a regular speaker at the Professional Symposium and a mentor for the Office of Multicultural Affairs (OMA). A current cochair for the Philadelphia Alumni Club, Bill is the founder of the ICUnity Student and Alumni Network and received the 2002 OMA Alumni Involvement Award.
  • Vilma Morrow '87 is a regular participant in the Professional Symposium as a panelist and alumni ambassador. She is currently a mentor with the Office of Multicultural Affairs and attends the Rochester networking nights.
  • Amy Selco '97 worked in IC's Office of Admission after graduation and then attended Harvard University where she received a masters degree in higher education. Amy was an active leader in the Boston Alumni Club, and is currently living in Minneapolis, where she is launching an alumni club.
  • Amy P. Tackaberry '73 has attended every class of '73 reunion and is a number-one fan of the IC football team. She is an alumni admission volunteer and is involved in the Rochester Alumni Club. She and husband Ted hosted freshman "send-off" parties in Rochester for many years.
  • Edward L. Tackaberry '73 has participated in phonathons and alumni reunions, has hosted freshman "send-off" parties and was an admission volunteer for the Rochester club. A former IC football player, he and wife Amy are ardent fans.
  • John A. Turan '68, M.S. '69 has participated in regional phonathons, and was the class chair for his 2003 class reunion. He received his MBA from Rochester Institute of Technology, and is currently board member and president of Label Printing Industries of America Association.
