Thursday, April 15, 7:00 p.m., in Textor 103: the "Out of the Closet and into the Screen" film series continues with two screenings celebrating Asian/Pacific-American Heritage Month.

Sambal Belacan tells the story of three women from Singapore who have immigrated to the United States, where they live openly as lesbians. In the film they share their feelings about their families and their adopted culture.

Fated to be Queer focuses on four gay Filipino men who live in San Francisco. The men share their perspectives on family, cultural heritage, and racial stereotyping.

Special programming note -- These films join to create a mini-film festival with the Valerie Soe Film and Video Exhibition on Thursday, April 15, at 5:30 p.m. in Textor 102.
