Ithaca College will host three Empire 8 championship tournament events this weekend.

The men's lacrosse , women's lacrosse, and softball teams all earned the right to host the conference postseason tournament by winning the league's regular-season title.

The men's lacrosse team (12-2, 6-1 Empire 8), ranked seventh nationally, will host fourth-seeded Hartwick Friday at 4:00 p.m. in a semifinal at Upper Terrace Field. Second-seeded Nazareth hosts third-seeded Rochester Institute of Technology in Friday's other semifinal. The two semifinal winners will meet at noon Sunday in the title game, which will be hosted by the higher seed.

The women's lacrosse team (10-3, 7-0 Empire 8), ranked 18th nationally, will host fourth-seeded Hartwick Saturday at noon in one semifinal at Carp Wood Field. Second-seeded Nazareth faces third-seeded St. John Fisher at 2:30 in Saturday's other semifinal. The two semifinal winners will meet at 2:30 Sunday in the title game. All three games will be held at Carp Wood Field.

The softball team (21-11, 10-2 Empire 8) will host the double-elimination Empire 8 championship tournament Friday and Saturday at Kostrinsky Field. A complete schedule can be found at 2004 Schedule.

Each championship tournament's winner receives an automatic bid to the NCAA Championships.
