The Conference on Technology in the Humanities will be held May 24-26 in the Emerson Suites.

This conference will be an opportunity to hear and discuss new ideas on technological practice and pedagogy in specific humanities disciplines, as well as the broader issues of the effect of technology on teaching and research. Sixteen sessions over two and a half days will feature over 40 presenters covering areas including art, history, languages, philosophy, library science, and writing.

Featured Speakers:

  • Larry Johnson, CEO, New Media Consortium.

  • Vernon Burton, associate director of humanities and social sciences , National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA), University of Illinois, U-C.
The conference program and on-line registration form can be found on the conference website. Ithaca College faculty and staff members may register at special rates. Please note that no registration is needed for the Wednesday, May 26, sessions and keynote, which are free and open to the public. The early registration deadline is May 10.
