Professor Scott R. Hamula, TV-R, was awarded a Faculty Development Grant by the National Association of Television Programming Executives (NATPE).
This grant program affords college and university media educators the opportunity to gain firsthand experience in a professional media environment.
Hamula will be placed at WETM-TV in Elmira and WIXT-TV in Syracuse for a two week period to observe and participate in day-to-day operations. The program is designed to increase teaching effectiveness through professional experience. He will also receive a full complimentary registration for the annual NATPE Program Conference and Exhibition to be held January 2005 in Las Vegas and a complimentary one-year educational membership.
Entering his sixth year of teaching at Ithaca College, Hamula is the coordinator of the integrated marketing communications major.
