A number of computer systems in the Job Hall computer room will be taken off line starting as early as 8:00 p.m. on Monday, August 9, in preparation for electrical work being performed in Job Hall by Physical Plant on the morning of August 10 from 5:00-9:00 a.m.

Some systems will be taken off line beginning at 8:00 p.m. on Monday, while other systems will remain online until 4:00 a.m. on Tuesday. All systems are expected to be back online by 10:00 a.m. (allowing for time to ensure that all systems are powered up and operating correctly after Physical Plant has finished their work).

The following services/systems are affected:

  • Art history image server (4:00 a.m.)
  • Blackboard (CourseInfo) (4:00 a.m.)
  • CorporateTime (4:00 a.m.)
  • Degree Navigator (8:00 p.m.)
  • E-mail (faculty, staff, students) (4:00 a.m.)
  • Faculty academic services (8:00 p.m.)
  • Library databases (4:00 a.m.)
  • Mac OS 9 and below (will get an error message at shutdown) (8:00 p.m.)
  • Mailroom services & ISS (8:00 p.m.)
  • Majordomo (4:00 a.m.)
  • Math/CS applications (4:00 a.m.)
  • Nova (student file server) (4:00 a.m.)
  • ODS reporting (8:00 p.m.)
  • Parnassus (8:00 p.m.)
  • Point & Click (Rochester) (8:00 p.m.)
  • Print server (network printing) (unavailable from 8:00-9:00 p.m. on both Monday and Tuesday)
  • Real Audio & Video for WICB, VIC or ICTV (4:00 a.m.)
  • SpamTrap (4:00 a.m.)
  • Student information system (8:00 p.m.)
