Student-Centered Activities for Large Enrollment Classes: Physics as a Case Study is the first colloquium, on Thursday, September 9, 12:10-1:00 in CNS 112. Note the atypical location. Refreshments will be provided.

Transforming a large lecture format into an interactive environment is a challenge for many disciplines. This presentation by Bob Beichner of North Carolina State University features a successful approach to efficiently improving student learning and faculty satisfaction.

Cosponsored by the Department of Physics, this colloquium includes more substantial refreshments than usual. You are welcome even if you need to arrive late or leave early.
