The September 2004 issue of American Behavioral Scientist features an article by Cynthia L. Scheibe, associate professor in developmental psychology.

"A Deeper Sense of Literacy: Curriculum-Driven Approaches to Media Literacy in the K-12 Classroom" highlights the work of Project Look Sharp, a media literacy initiative of Ithaca College that Scheibe directs. The article argues that media literacy can be used effectively as a pedagogical approach for teaching core content across the K-12 curriculum, thus meeting the needs of both teachers and students by promoting critical thinking, communication, and technology skills.
