Please announce the annual Perialas Prize in Persuasion, sponsored by the Department of Speech Communication, to your students.

This year, the seventh annual campus-wide public speaking contest is on the topic "Who should be the next president of the United States?" There will be three $200 cash prizes for the best Kerry, Bush, and alternative candidate speeches.

The preliminary contest is October 18. All winners must present their speeches at a public forum in the Clark lounge on October 27.
