Ithaca College

You are invited to join the 2004-5 Community Service Committee. The main purpose of the committee is to engage and involve faculty and staff in service projects and encourage participation in campus wide service events.

The committee also is responsible for recognition of campus-wide service efforts. Programs sponsored by the committee include:

• Share the Warmth Campaign (partner with the Ithaca Rotary Club)
• Family Carnival (partner with Big Brothers Big Sisters)
• Celebration of Service (which will have a new symposium format this year)

Please consider attending our first meeting on Wednesday, October 13, at 2:00 pm in the Campus Center South Meeting Room. We will have coffee and snacks, have a brief needs assessment and brainstorm session on faculty and staff volunteerism, and begin our planning for this year's events. Please encourage anyone interested in getting more involved in community service to bring ideas and enthusiasm to the meeting.

If you cannot attend but would like to be involved, please email Deborah Mohlenhoff to be added to the committee's roster so you can receive meeting minutes, project updates, and volunteer requests. Hope to see you there!
