The Advocacy Center, our local provider of services to those affected by domestic violence and sexual abuse, invites you to join us for our 27th annual meeting on Thursday, October 28, 5:30-7:00 pm.

The meeting will highlight "Challenging Media's Culture of Put-Downs and Violence: Empowering Children and Teens with Media Literacy," presented by Cyndy Scheibe, PhD, associate professor of psychology and executive director of Project Look Sharp and the Center for Research on the Effects of Television at Ithaca College.

Please help us honor the two recipients of the third annual Louise Miller Youth Advocacy Award:

• Lorraine Arnold, retired nurse/educator, Ithaca City School District
• Susie Hatch, Co-Founder of the Law Guardian's Office

The meeting will be in Klingenstein Lounge, Campus Center at Ithaca College; parking is available near the Campus Center (see Campus Map)

Wine and light refreshments will be provided; a donation at the door will be greatly appreciated. .
