The Division of Interdisciplinary and International Studies and the Office of the Provost invite you to attend the gala opening night reception of the eighth annual Finger Lakes Environmental Film Festival on Friday October 22, 6:00-8:00 p.m. in the Park Hall lobby.

Opening reception: featuring the Fe Nunn Jazz Quartet, Baruch Whitehead African drummers, and new digital video installations by Vincent Grenier in collaboration with Mary Zebell. A cash bar and hors d'oeuvres will be offered.

Opening screening: A full length film and two shorts will begin at 8:00 p.m.

  • Go Further (Ron Mann, 2003, Canada/US 80 min.), featuring Woody Harrelson and a new generation of activists touring the West Coast to spread the word about sustainability
  • Lightyear (Dan Sokolowski, 2004, Canada)
  • How to Make a Bird (Juan Carlos Zaldivar, 2004, USA, 30 seconds)

The event is free and open to the public.
