Boardman Place is located next to Smiddy Hall and the Dillingham Center. The new facility has been named Boardman Place, a historical reference to the days when the College was located in downtown Ithaca. For many years the College had offices in the Boardman House, which still exists in Dewitt Park. Boardman Place will be occupied by people working on the Student Information System Project, for the Office of Sports Information, faculty members in the School of Humanities and Sciences, and others. Members of the campus community are encouraged to stop by and see this temporary, but very nice, addition to the campus. The ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place in front of the building at about 11:30 a.m., and President Peggy Williams will offer brief remarks. Refreshments will be served.
