The Health Promotion Committee is sponsoring "Cutting to Cope: Understanding Self-Injury and How to Stop the Cycle" on Monday, October 25, 7:00 p.m. in the Klingenstein Lounge.

Self-Injury is the intentional harm of one's own body without conscious suicidal intent. Learn about how to respond to a friend or student who is self-injuring, and find out about resources available on campus.

The panel at the presentation will include

  • Vivian Lorenzo, MD -- Hammond Health Center
  • Alice Meilman, MSW -- Counseling Center
  • Linda Frechette, MS -- Residential Life
  • A self-injurer in recovery

Health Promotion Series workshops are open to students, staff, and faculty.
