Pianist Charis Dimaras will present a free faculty recital at 8:15 pm on Monday, November 8, in the Hockett Family Recital Hall.

Dimaras, an assistant professor of music performance, will perform music of Chopin, Prokofiev, and Sicilianos.

He has frequently performed as soloist with orchestras, as well as in solo and chamber music concerts, throughout Greece, Turkey, Italy, Austria, Germany, the Netherlands, England, Scotland, and the United States. Dimaras has given performances at the Salzburg Mozarteum International summer concerts, the Brighton and Newcastle International Chamber Music Festivals, the University Sacaellum, Amsterdam's Concertgebouw Hall, Carnegie's Weill Recital Hall, the Juilliard Theater, Merkin Hall, and Alice Tully Hall. His solo performances have been with the Greek National Symphony Orchestra, the Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra, and the MAV Hungarian Symphony Orchestra.
