A new live performance of Sergei Eisenstein's classic silent film Battleship Potemkin (USSR, 1925) will be presented in Park Auditorium on Monday, November 15, at 7:00 p.m.

Montage of Collision: Battleship Potemkin, Revived, Recharged, performed by the Collision Collective, will be comprised of digital music, laptop, archival sound looping, percussion, and spoken word.

This project is part of an on-going research initiative at Ithaca College to explore the relationships among silent cinema, digitality, electronic music, archival artifacts, critical historiography, and film theory.

The event is free and open to the public. It is sponsored by the Division of Interdisciplinary and International Studies and the Department of Cinema and Photography.
