Science Colloquia This Week

The Center for Faculty Excellence features a talk on fuel cell technology on Tuesday at noon, as part of the Sustainability Cafe series; and a talk on the SENCER program for science education on Thursday.

  • Neil Murphy, president of the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry, presents a lay guide to fuel cell technology Tuesday November 16, 12:10-1:00 pm in the Clark Lounge of the Campus Center.

  • Nancy Jacobson, biology, presents on SENCER -- Science Education through New Civic Engagement and Responsibility -- on Thursday, November 18, 12:10-1:00 pm in the Klingenstein Lounge.

Both talks are informal, and you are welcome to bring your lunch. Beverage and treats are provided. We understand that you may need to arrive late or leave early due to busy schedules.

The Center for Faculty Excellence welcomes proposals for colloquia in the spring semester: contact Susanne Morgan with ideas. After Thanksgiving, we will present two useful workshops on efficient and effective grading and on peer classroom observation. as well as a poetry reading.
