Call for presentations at WomenSpeak 2005 on the theme of "Women and Money"

The women's studies program's annual in-house conference, WomenSpeak, in its 12th year, will take place on Wednesday, February 23, from 10:00 a.m. to noon and from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in McDonald Lounge of the Campus Center.

Codirectors Katharyn Howd Machan and Sally Parr invite all women who are, or have been, part of the Ithaca College community to consider offering a 15-minute presentation. Lectures, papers, open-forum discussion topics, readings of original poetry and fiction and personal essays, music and dance performances, etc. -- all are welcome, as individual offerings or as collaborations.

Let our voices, concerns, and opinions resound!

Faculty, students, staff, administrators, alumnae, please provide the following information (hard copy or e-mail) to Katharyn Howd Machan (Department of Writing, Park 223.) by Friday, December 17.

Information required in your proposal:

  • The title of your presentation
  • Preferred time slot (first, second, and third choices)
  • Your name and affiliation as you want it to appear on the program
  • E-mail address
  • Phone (IC and home)

Please share this information, and urge friends and students to attend. Professors are especially encouraged to work WomenSpeak into their course schedules and bring whole classes.
