You will notice a change in the benefit credits and deductions in your December 31 paycheck.

Most years there are 26 biweekly pay periods, and so Ithaca College bases the biweekly per payroll benefit charges on the annual cost divided by 26. However, this year the December 31 payroll will be the 27th biweekly pay period, and therefore there will be no benefits activity in your December 31 paycheck. Benefit credits will not be credited and benefit charges will not be deducted for this final pay check of the 2004 calendar year.

This is the only paycheck that will be affected. Normal benefit credits and deductions will resume as of January 1, 2005.

If you have any questions, please contact the Office of Human Resources at 274-3245.
