Keith Beauchamp, documentary producer, will visit IC on January 17 in recognition of MLK Day.

In addition to hosting two master classes -- Film Documentation at 3:00 pm in Park 138 and Civil Rights and Social Justice at 4:00 pm in Clark Lounge -- Beauchamp will be the guest presenter for an evening program in Emerson Suites beginning at 7:00 p.m.

The evening events will begin with a tribute to Martin Luther King Jr. presented by the MLK Scholars. At 7:30 p.m. there will be a showing of Beauchamp's unreleased documentary The Untold Story of Emmett Louis Till. A question and answer period will follow.

Other highlights for the day's activities are:

  • 11:30 am-4:30 pm -- Beverly J. Martin Elementary School/GIAC
    Join members of the Ithaca College community for lunch and entertainment. Shuttles from Phillips Hall will be provided.
  • Noon-3:00 pm and 5:00-9:00 pm -- Showings on the hour in Clark Lounge
    Martin Luther King Jr: A Personal Portrait
  • 9:00 am-3:00 pm -- Showings on the hour in Klingenstein Lounge
    Screening of the 60 Minutes documentary highlighting the filmmaker Keith Beauchamp and the background information for his documentary The Untold Story of Emmett Louis Till
