Senior television-radio major, Kim Powers has won an award in the Broadcast Education Association Festival of the Media Arts Competition.

Powers, with a concentration in scriptwriting, has won an award in the Broadcast Education Association Festival of the Media Arts Competition. Her original teleplay for the series "Arrested Development" entitled: "What is the Raspberry Stand?" won second place in the television series category of the Student Scriptwriting Competition. She will be honored at the 2005 BEA convention in Las Vegas in April.
