The Ariadne String Quartet will give a free concert on Monday, March 28, at 7:00 pm in the Hockett Family Recital Hall.

Their program includes the second quartet by Zoltan Kodaly, as well as a quartet by Mendelssohn. The other work on the program is "Yiddishbbuk" by Osvaldo Golijov, a visceral string quartet inspired by drawings of children who were imprisoned at Theresienstadt, the deadly "model ghetto" built by the Nazis in 1941.

The members of the Ariadne Quartet are violinists Susan Waterbury and Rebecca Ansel, violist Debra Moree, and cellist Elizabeth Simkin.
