The CNS faculty, staff and students have initiated a CNS Sustainability Group with the mission of increasing awareness and performance with respect to sustainability among the users of this building, and hopefully inspiring other groups on campus to do the same.
To date, we have
1) formed working committees on curriculum, energy use, outreach, and publicity
2) launched a web page -- http://ic022009.ithaca.edu/~cns/

4) started a lecture series
5) presented our approach at the recent REMP Campus Sustainability Workshop
6) arranged for three students to give presentations at the Whalen Symposium
7) prepared a presentation for the upcoming Ball State Conference
8) planned to host a wine and cheese reception (see below).

The purpose of the reception is to celebrate this project, educate the College community about our endeavors, and encourage other campus entities to initiate their own efforts to promote sustainability practice and education.
