Jon Alhart is the weekend sports anchor at NewsChannel 9 Syracuse. During the week, Jon is a big part of the stations coverage of Syracuse University and Central New York high school sports. Prior to joining WIXT, Jon was the sports director at WIVT in Binghamton. Originally from Rochester, Jon graduated magna cum laude from Ithaca College. Jon is the son of legendary Rochester anchor, Don Alhart.
Jon will give the same presentation he planned on giving in February. He will give a brief description of his background and experiences since leaving Ithaca College. The majority of his presentation will be geared around critiquing and learning from his resume tape. His tape includes everything from live-shots to anchoring and packages. He will use the tape as a tool to explain how he chooses highlights and writes stories. The atmosphere will be casual, as always and Jon will welcome questions and discussion throughout his presentation.
