Four Ithaca College students presented original research at the Rochester Institute of Technology Conference of Undergraduate Communication Research. The four students were sponsored by Robert Sullivan of the Department of Speech Communication. Support for the students was provided by the Department of Speech Communication and the School of Humanities and Sciences. The presenters included:

Sara DeCotis, 'The Passion of the Christ' and the Humiliation of the Word.
Alexa Kaiser, Beauties and Beasts: Portrayals of the Masses in 'Battleship Potemkin' and 'Triumph of the Will.'
Laura Kelly, The Demosthenic Prooimia and the Functions of the Classical Rhetorical Proem.
Dennis McGlaughlin, The Army of One Campaign: Ellul and 'Total Propaganda.'

Laura Kelly's essay won the conference's 'Best Paper Award.'
