On Thursday, April 14, electricians in the maintenance division of the Office of Physical Plant conducted a vote to determine whether to form a collective bargaining unit affiliated with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (I.B.E.W). By a vote of 5 to 0, the electricians decided not to unionize.

"I am pleased that these employees have determined that it remains in their best interest to continue to work directly with their managers to resolve any issues they may have in the workplace," says Ithaca College president Peggy R. Williams. "As always, Ithaca College will continue its efforts to foster a work environment based on full and open communication, collaboration, and community."
