Janet Williams '05 has been awarded a Fulbright grant to teach, study, and work in Spain for the 2005-2006 academic year. Janet will be teaching English as a foreign language at a Spanish public school, and will be working at a Women's Center helping with issues and concerns that face women in contemporary Spanish society.

Established in 1946, the Fulbright Program aims to increase mutual understanding between the peoples of the United States and other countries, through the exchange of persons, knowledge, and skills.

In particular, the U.S. Student Program awards grants to U.S. citizens in all fields of study; operates in over 140 countries worldwide; awards about 1,100 grants annually to U.S. students to study overseas for one academic year of study, research, or teaching assistantship experience.
