Do You Hear the ECHO?

Contributed by Kimberley Conrad on 08/01/05

Have you heard the ECHO? Experiencing Connections by Heading Outdoors (ECHO) is an opportunity, sponsored by first year programs, for a group of 60 incoming first year students to go on an overnight backpack camping trip to Hector National Forest with members of the Ithaca College community. ECHO is looking for faculty and staff to participate in some way.

Students participating in ECHO will arrive early on campus August 17, head for the forest with ECHO on August 18 returning to campus on August 19. ECHO is looking for members of the faculty, staff and administration that would like to participate. This is our largest group of student participants in the program's three-year history!

Not able to run off to the woods? Perhaps you would like to join College community members that will welcome the newest members of our community by particpating in dinner and some activies around the campfire with the group in the forest the evening of August 19.

Does one of these options sound like fun? Contact Mark Darling mdarling@ithaca.edu or Kim Conrad kconrad@ithaca.edu for details

Correction: If you'd like to join the community members in dinner and
activities around the campfire- it would be Thursday evening, August
18th.
We apologize for any confusion.
