Ithaca College

The LGBT Center's tobacco initiative, designed to address disproportionate rates of smoking in sexual minority students at Ithaca College, is the recipient of an additional award.

The initiative was recently recognized by the statewide Task Force for Tobacco-Free Women and Girls, based at Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo NY. A plaque and cash award were presented in recognition and support of the LGBT Center's efforts to promote tobacco smoking cessation/prevention. The additional funds will be used to continue initiative activities on campus for the coming year.
