"Bridging Islands: Connecting New and Experienced Careers Using Teaching Projects and SoTL" is the title of the workshop with Milton D. Cox of Miami University of Ohio.
Open to everyone, the workshop is on Saturday, August 27, 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. in Klingenstein Lounge. It will launch the all-College mentoring program for the year, but you do not have to be in the mentoring program to attend the workshop and you do not have to attend the workshop if you want to be in the mentoring program.
Milt Cox helped launch the program in 2003, and he returns to share concepts of career stages and a teaching program he developed that includes opportunities for the "Scholarship of Teaching and Learning" (SoTL.)
There is still space, so contact Laurie Wasik, 274-3837 (wasik@ithaca.edu), if you plan to attend.
If you cannot attend the workshop but wish to be in a mentoring group, contact Susanne Morgan, (morgan@ithaca.edu) or 274-3521, for a form on which to indicate possible meeting times.
