This is a reminder that on September 9, 11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. in Room 413 CHS, Marilyn Kinner will present "Sharing Your Wishes: Difficult Conversations about Difficult Decisions" at the September caregiver meeting.

Advanced care planning provides an opportunity to anticipate the types of health care situations that might arise and lets family members know our wishes. It's not just about signing a document appointing an agent to act on our behalf should we become unable to make our own decisions.

This presentation will address the difficulties faced by family members caring for a loved one, such as how to start the conversation, evaluating choices, getting family members together, and when to hold on and when to let go.
