How Faculty Members Can Support Students at Difficult Times

A special program from the Center for Faculty Excellence on Thursday, September 15, 4:00-5:00 p.m. in the Klingenstein Lounge.

Facilitator: Rebecca Plante, Department of Sociology
Panelists: Deb Harper, Director, Counseling Center and Meredith Ellis, Protestant Chaplain

Kimberly Chu's and Morgan Potter's deaths are the most recent to affect our campus. All of us may experience the death of a student or another tragedy that affects the community of the classroom, such as the serious illness of a student or loss of a faculty member in the department.

This program provides theoretical information and practical guidance for faculty members in managing some of the many issues that can arise. All are welcome to attend and light refreshments will be served.
