Mark your calendars for the third annual Ithaca College Veterans Day celebration to be held Thursday, November 10, 2005 from noon to 1:00 p.m. in the Emerson Suites at Ithaca College.
Please join us for the third annual Ithaca College Veterans Day celebration as we honor those men and women who have given so much to our nation. This year’s celebration will feature the Ithaca College Brass Choir and IC voICes, as well as Air Force ROTC from Cornell and Ithaca College.
Featured speakers will be music alumnus Dr. Edward Green ‘42, who served with the US Army Airbone, and Emma Schutz, who served with the US Army Nursing Corps. Both are residents at Longview. Shirley Hockett, professor emerita, will be master of ceremonies.
The purpose of Veterans Day is to show appreciation to the approximately 48 million Americans who have served honorably in the military since 1776. There are currently about 25 million living veterans. Please join us in thanking these special men and women for their contribution.
We hope you will plan on attending this wonderful event, which is open to all students, faculty, staff, and administration as well as the greater Ithaca community.
This event sponsored by the Ithaca College School of Music, Office of Alumni Relations, and Staff Council.
