The School of Business is proud to announce that Jennifer Tastle, a senior accounting major in the School of Business at Ithaca College, was honored with the best student paper award at the Information Systems Education Conference in Columbus, Ohio.

Jennifer worked with a faculty advisor to develop a new mathematical measure which she explained in her paper, "Extending the Consensus Measure: Analyzing Ordinal Data With Respect to Extrema." The new measure has considerable potential in business, social sciences, psychology, and other areas in which ordinal data is collected and analyzed. The conference occurred on October 6-9, 2005 and was relocated from New Orleans. The paper is being published in the proceedings of ISECON 2005 and will also be published in the Information Systems Education Journal.
