Resources for Effective Advising, the second in a series of three workshops on academic advising, takes place on Wednesday, October 19, from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the Clark Lounge of the Campus Center. Sponsored by the Office of the Provost and the Center for Faculty Excellence, this workshop is open to all.

This workshop features a panel presentation of the resources available to academic advisors and the most effective ways to make use of them, and the panel will be followed by extensive time for questions and discussion. Panelists include

• Janet Wigglesworth, associate dean, School of Health Sciences and Human Performance
• Sue Chaffee, assistant director, Higher Education Opportunities Program, Office of Multicultural Affairs
• Leslie Schettino, director, Office of Support Services for Students with Disabilities
